Sushilicious- Kaiten style sushi in Irvine

I declared tonight a no cook night, mainly because I spent too much time chatting it up outside and not enough time getting dinner ready. I have heard some commercials for this sushi place on the radio and I heard that Tuesday nights are "kids eat free" night, so off to Sushilicious we went.

This is a Kaiten style sushi restaurant. They make sushi and place it on a conveyer belt, you grab the plates that look good to you. They are all color coded so at the end your server comes back and adds up all the empty plates you have stacked. The restaurant itself is adorable! Modern clean lines, no clutter, white is the main color with crisp color accents. All the seats are positioned around the conveyer belt.

For "kids eat free" night at Sushilicious you select one of two dishes for the kids. One is a Teriyaki chicken dinner and the other is a sushi plate with california rolls, sweet egg and sweet tofu. We ordered one of each and let the kids split the plates so they could try a little of everything.

Sushilicious was a fun spot to go as a family on Tuesday night. There are not a lot of seats so be prepared to wait, they had a little craft station set up for the kids, this made the waiting fly by.

Our server was great and super kind.  They take all the orders on an ipod touch which is pretty cool. The sushi itself was good and the prices were fair. I loved the names of their sushi rolls; Twilight, Napolean Dynamite,
The roll otherwise known as California.
I love food with a sense of humor!
Kids plate - Teriyaki chicken, California rolls, sweet tofu and a little sweet egg.

Philly roll: cream cheese, salmon, avacado

Lil' Miss Sunshine: I don't remember all the ingredients but it was good!

If you are looking for out of this world fantastic sushi this is probably not the place for you. This is a fun little sushi place with reasonable prices and simple sushi. If you have kids take them here on a Tuesday night from 5-8pm for kids eat free night!
