There are days during the summer months when it is just way too hot to cook!! The majority of this summer we have been cooking everything on the grill. And sometimes it is just to hot to grill...that's when it's great to have a backyard garden! We whipped up some salads this weekend for dinner from our garden. We were able to use our own: Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. It was a great salad even Weston approved. Although we were low on tomatoes since every time the garden gets watered Weston picks all the ripe salad tomatoes and eats them...they never make it to the house.
