House Hunting in California

We spent about four and a half hours looking at all types of housing today. We have debated buying but due to the unstable market, not knowing how long we will be here and the cost of homes; we have decided to lease.

I was a little disappointed today and surprised that out of 10 homes we only found two that were possibilities.

So here is a picture of the front of one townhouse. It is three bedroom two and a half bath and 1300 sq. ft. It's in a new community area. Walking distance to Trader Joe's!
                                                                     Front Door.
Backyard with fruit trees.

Here is the second one.

This house is amazing inside. The upgrades are incredible. The downside would be that it is only two bedroom and it just feels really small inside.
Two bedroom two bath and 1200 sq ft.

Back yard.

Hello Brandy, I'm Tina's brother Brian. I live up in Arcadia, so I don't know that much about the O.C., but if you have any questions or anything feel free to contact me. You can get my e-mail from Tina. And welcome to California!

Walking distance to Trader Joe's? So jealous. ;-) Sorry it was a frustrating day with 8 "misses" and only two "hits." Hope today is productive. Keep the photos coming! More interior shots!

I love the upgrades in the 2nd one... but only 2 BR and the backyard is teeny tiny, if it's something you can live with I'd say go for it. Walking distance to Trader Joe's is always a nice bonus (considering here you would have to drive at least 1/2 hour.) In addition to Los Alamitos, try Rossmoor, Seal Beach, and Huntington Beach. There might be some nice places in Orange & Tustin. Hope you are having a great time... you'll also want to try Ruby's Diner and In-n-Out.

Hey girl, I just got my weekly devotion from Lighthouse Ministries and the story she tells is about house hunting in Southern Cali. Check it out: http://www.lighthouseministriesnc.org/the-new-owner/.

Love you. Miss you. How am I going to survive in NC without you when the last 3 days have lasted forever? I miss my B-diz.

Brian- Thank you! I plan to get your info from Tina. It's always good to get a locals take on things. p.s. love your sister, she is the best!!

Carrie- We checked out Tustin. But we really did not want David to have any sort of commute. So that's why we are trying to stay in Irvine. It makes his commute depending on where we are in Irvine 5-10 minutes. It will be a nice break from the 35-60 he has had to commute in NC.

Vitamama- Great devotional. Miss you too, girl. The time difference has been a little crazy. Can't wait to hang out when we get back!
