WVA Ralph J. Reddington 5k!

I forgot to post that I signed up for my third 5k yesterday!

It's scheduled for this weekend. I am just running for fun. Not trying to beat my PR or anything, would be cool if I did though.

I am soo excited, it's just a little community race, but it will be my first California race.

Hey fitfunandfabulous- The race is on Sunday, too!! WooHooo we are going to be racing together....in two different locations...but that's pretty cool!

Good luck Brandy! I so admire you for doing it. Do you know of any 5K beginner training programs? I've always wanted to run but I've never done it before.

Thank you! Kelly @ Grumpy Pants! I do know of a couple training plans my favorite is the couch to 5k plan:http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

If you have a smartphone (iphone, blackberry, android) you can actually download the audio cues for the couch to 5k plan, which makes keeping track a little easier.

I love this plan. You don't start out running a 5 k distance. You build up slowly..very slowly and by the time you get to running the full distance you are more than ready for the challenge!

It's a lot of fun to run (not at first) and race, you should give it a try!
